PD Day Kids Kamp 2026

During the school year, we will be offering our Kids Kamp program on ALL PD Days.
Our Kids Kamp runs from 8:15am - 5:15pm, daily at the Upstairs of the Rotary Arena.

Our program is open to all children aged 5 - 11. 

Activities include: arts & crafts, games, outdoor play, swimming @ the Kin Aquatic Centre.
Some special activities might include: skating, a movie @ the Countryfest Community Cinema, sledding @ Maamawi Park and more!

Parents are to pack the following:
 - lunch and snacks (nut-free)
 - water bottle
 - swimsuit and towel
 - indoor shoes (during the winter)

An email will be sent out before each day of camp to let parents know of the activities happening.

Skating Sessions @ Credit Union Place

We will do our best to offer Public Skating and Sticks n' Pucks sessions whenever there is open space. 
Cost is $5/person and MUST be pre-paid at the Front Desk before going on the ice. 
Helmets are mandatory!

Requirements:

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Person, you’ll be responsible for the general upkeep of the building, equipment, and grounds. From ensuring clean and functioning restrooms to handling minor repairs and maintaining our facilities, your role is essential to the day-to-day operation of the recreation center.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and building systems

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in common areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and fitness areas

  • Assist with set-up and tear-down of equipment for events, programs, and rentals

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and safety issues

  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance tools

  • Assist with snow removal or exterior maintenance as needed

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Prior maintenance or custodial experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and safety

  • Good communication and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or split shifts as needed

  • Valid driver’s license IS required

About the Role:

As Head Lifeguard, you will supervise lifeguard staff, ensure compliance with safety regulations, coordinate emergency response procedures, and help maintain a clean and efficient facility. You’ll also work closely with aquatic staff and management to schedule shifts, conduct in-service training, and assist in planning community aquatic programs.

This role is ideal for an organized, proactive individual who thrives in a leadership role and is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all pool users.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of lifeguard team and aquatic safety staff

  • Schedule and coordinate lifeguard shifts and break coverage

  • Monitor pool activities to ensure patron safety and prevent accidents

  • Respond to emergencies, provide first aid/CPR as needed

  • Conduct regular safety drills and lifeguard training sessions

  • Inspect pool facilities and equipment daily for cleanliness and safety

  • Report maintenance or safety issues to management

  • Serve as a role model for excellent customer service and professionalism

  • Assist in enforcing pool policies and addressing patron concerns


Qualifications:

  • Minimum age: 18 years old

  • Current Lifeguard Certification 

  • Previous lifeguard experience (2+ years preferred)

  • Supervisory or leadership experience in an aquatic setting is strongly preferred

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
