Salary: $18.81/hour as per CUPE 357 agreement

About the Role:
As a Maintenance Person, you’ll be responsible for the general upkeep of the building, equipment, and grounds. From ensuring clean and functioning restrooms to handling minor repairs and maintaining our facilities, your role is essential to the day-to-day operation of the recreation center.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and building systems

Maintain cleanliness and safety in common areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and fitness areas

Assist with set-up and tear-down of equipment for events, programs, and rentals
-
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and safety issues

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance tools
-
Assist with snow removal or exterior maintenance as needed

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior maintenance or custodial experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and safety

Good communication and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or split shifts as needed

Valid driver’s license IS required
