Dauphin Recreation Services is an organization of 60 employees tasked with managing and operating all recreation facilities and parks in the City and Rural Municipality of Dauphin. The City and Rural Municipality form a vibrant community of 10,000 located 165 km north of Brandon, Manitoba, and offers an exceptional array of recreational facilities. These include a state-of-the-art recreation complex, featuring an 1,800 seat arena, six sheet curling rink, indoor aquatic centre with wave pool and water slide, along with a baseball & soccer complex, secondary indoor arena, agricultural barns and show ring, and racetrack. With Dauphin’s proximity to Riding Mountain National Park to the south and Duck Mountain Provincial Park to the north, it is ideally located for outdoor enthusiasts and those looking for a quality place to raise a family.
The Finance/HR Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the development and maintenance of all financial management and Human Resource systems of the organization. This position supervises an excellent team of clerical support and customer service staff.
The ideal person will have the education and experience required to support a mid-sized organization with an annual operating budget in excess of $3 million. This would include a university degree, or Community College diploma in Business Administration plus a minimum five years previous experience in a non-profit or business organization. Applicants currently enrolled in, or in possession of accounting diplomas/certificate programs will be given special consideration.
Dauphin Recreation Services offers an excellent wage ($45,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications) and benefit package, including a defined-benefit pension plan.
